Pandasdrill

Level 3: Aggregating Exercise 26 of 45 Pro

Shares with value_counts

A pandas exercise from Pandasdrill. Solve it with a Python editor in your browser running real pandas, and it is checked the moment you submit.

The task

Return the share of orders for each product as a fraction between 0 and 1, largest share first.

What this exercise teaches

value_counts counts each distinct value and sorts from most to least common. normalize=True divides by the total, so the shares add up to 1.

A hint if you get stuck

value_counts has a normalize parameter.
